There seems to be diet for everything these days. The tummy tightening diet, the low carb diet, the high fibre diet, the ass slimming diet, the 6 pack ripped body diet..the list is endless, but is there a diet that will get rid of cellulite permanently? Cellulite can be dramatically reduced and managed through diet, but permanently removed is very doubtful, though not impossible.
Is There Cellulite and Diet Cure?
Cellulite is, as you know, the dimpled appearance of excessive fat build-up bulging through the connective tissue under your skin. So by reducing your overall body fat percentage, through a sensible and targeted diet, you can effectively reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Below we will run through a list of foods that may help you with your goal of being cellulite free. These are a guide only, not a full on cure! Choose a sensible diet plan. Just remember, the best diet for Cellulite is one that you will be able to stick too. Basically what we are trying to achieve is to reduce overall body fat. We plan to achieve this by detoxifying the body, re-hydrating your body and then putting in the best possible fuel so your body can function at and look its best.
Foods That Help With Cellulite and Diet
Cellulite and Diet – Foods that help detoxify your body include the following…
-
eggs
-
bran
-
oat cereals
-
bright fruit and veggies
-
such as strawberries, cranberries, blueberries, blackcurrants, cherries, carrots and papaya. Carrots , papaya, strawberries and blueberries are also said to prevent tissue damage.
To Assist Your Body
To rehydrate your body you need to drink plenty of water..at least 2 litres a day. Tea counts as water but coffee does not, coffee actually dehydrates you as does alcohol, so avoid these two as much as possible! A easy way to drink enough water is to stack four cups of water on the bench that you have to finish by lunch time, then fill them again and drink them by dinner…easy.
Cellulite and Diet Hints
Now for your staple diet, in essence this is entirely up to you. We all know what to do we just don’t do it, or don’t just stick to it. Obviously if your diet consists entirely of fast food and junk your a not going to look that great. Try to major in fresh fruit, dark green leafy vegetables and fresh or steamed veggies to maximise the vitamins and minerals. Stick to proteins such as white fish, chicken beans and pulses. These foods contain certain amino acids that fight fluid retention.
More Healthy Foods
Other foods that are worthy of mention in the fight against cellulite are…
-
Citrus fruits,
-
papaya which are high in vitamin C, vital for collagen production.
-
Poultry products such as skimmed milk and eggs also contain amino acids that boost collagen levels
-
Diuretic foods that fight fluid retention such as watermelon, cucumber, celery and asparagus
-
Foods that contain lecithin, for strengthening skin such as tomatoes, soya, fennel, bell peppers, cauliflower and spinach
-
Avocado is vital for healthy skin, and oily fish will hydrate your skin, both will aid in reducing the appearance of cellulite.
-
Onion is also great for releasing water build up in skin, again reducing the appearance of cellulite.
As mentioned earlier, diet alone will not cure cellulite, but it is a vital part in the battle. Now we have lowered our overall body fat we need to tone up the problem areas through specificly targeted exercises that work out the major muscle groups and tighten your skin..
